Sproggiwood Officially Released!

So, the day is finally here! It feels like this project has been going on forever, and we have had more than one instance of undue optimism about the release schedule, but today is officially the release day!

Sproggiwood is an independent game project between myself (art) and Jason Grinblat (design and writing) and Brian Bucklew (programming) of Freeholdgames. It’s an easily accessible but strategically challenging roguelike with permanent upgrades and unlocks via town. And a funny story!

You can find Sproggiwood on Steam and The Humble Store. The game supports pc, linux and mac, the Steamplay and has steam trading cards. The steam badges you can earn are super cute, even if I say so myself! Actually I really want them all myself, but feel a bit ridiculous collecting cards just to get my own art to show up on my profile.

As this is the first independent game release I’ve been involved in I finally got to experience first hand how much time it takes to do all the stuff that isn’t making the game. So to honor that, here’s some non-Photoshop doctored screenshots that still took a a way too long time to take. I totally skipped the editing because I just didn’t have two days to spend doctoring them. And I hate doing it. Freedom!

All support is appreciated and spreading the word would help us out a lot too!
